April 1998 AAOS Report
The 1998 Orthopaedic Physician Census will be sent to all practicing
orthopaedic surgeons in June. The biennial survey is used to collect basic
demographic and practice information. It also is used to collect information
to keep the Academy’s database up-to-date and effectively represent
orthopaedic patients and the specialty. Each census will be accompanied by
one of several supplemental forms that asks for more specific information
on an important topic. This information has been requested by Academy
committees to assist in operations and help address current practice
environment issues. All information received by the Academy will be kept
confidential.
