John A. Bergfeld, MD, was presented the Founders Award from the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine at their recent annual meeting. The award recognizes service exemplifying the best in sports medicine.

Alain Jodoin, MD, FRCSC, of Montreal, Quebec was named president of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association (COA) at its recent annual meeting held in Calgary, Alberta. Dr. Jodoin will serve as president of the COA until June 2005.
