Attend business meeting
Academy members are urged to attend the annual business meeting on March 20,
11:15 a.m., to listen to the reading of the proposed bylaws amendments that
would ultimately shift some functions of the Academy’s current 501(c)(3)
organization to the new 501(c)(6) organization. The meeting’s agenda also
includes elections of officers, at-large members of the Board of Directors
and others; voting on the recommendations of the Resolutions and Bylaws
committees; and nominations for the 1999 Nominating Committee. Prior to
the annual business meeting, the Resolutions Committee will hold its
open hearing on Thursday, March 19, from 1 to 4 p.m., to discuss the
resolutions under consideration at the Annual Meeting. The Bylaws
Committee will conduct its open hearing on Friday, March 20, from
10 a.m. to noon, to receive comments on proposed amendments.
