Academy seeks examples of use of telemedicine
Orthopaedists with examples of current applications in the field of
telemedicine in orthopaedic surgery are asked to contact the health policy department, (800) 346-2267. The Academy is looking for ways in which medical
information has been electronically transferred from one site to
another for purposes of patient care, patient and professional
education, consultation, research and public health. It can include
"telesurgery," satellite transmissions and videotape teleconferencing.
