Dr. Levine named JAAOS editor
Alan M. Levine, MD, has been named the new editor-in-chief
of the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons:
A Comprehensive Review (JAAOS). Dr. Levine will succeed John
W. Frymoyer, MD, who served as editor-in-chief of JAAOS
since its first issue in October 1992. Dr. Levine is associate
chief, division of orthopaedic surgery, and professor, department
of orthopaedic surgery and oncology, University of Maryland Hospital,
Baltimore, Md. He will assume the editor-in-chief position on
Aug. 1.
