Academy, CPSC stress exercise and safety issues
Nicholas A. DiNubile, MD,
represented the Academy at a press conference arranged by the
U.S. Consumer Protection Safety Commission (CPSC) to announce
a study showing people age 65 and older are continuing to remain
active in sports and exercise. Dr. DiNubile commented on the need
for people to remain active and to follow safety precautions while
exercising and participating in recreational activities. The CPSC
and Academy collaborated on a patient education brochure, "Keep
active and safe at any age," that is available for purchase
