New coding publications
The Deluxe Physician ICD-9-CM, volumes 1 and 2, with two years of code changes, is available from the AAOS. The publication has a new section on ICD-10.
This edition has Medicode edits, color-coded text, a detailed introduction, annotations and illustrations. The publication also includes the ICD-9 Specialty Fast Finder for Orthopaedics–2001 to increase coding speed. It is published by Medicode.
Also available is HCPCS-2001. The publication offers complete, up-to-date listings of codes required by Medicare and many commercial payers to bill durable medical equipment (DME), pharmaceuticals and select medical services.
