Patients get tips on effective office visits
The AAOS has developed "Getting the Most Out of a Visit with Your Doctor" to help patients have an effective office visit with their physician. The document stresses that it’s important to give the doctor the information he or she needs and that the patient understand what the doctor is recommending.
Patients are advised what they must do and know before their visit, at the physician’s office and when they get home. The document also lists questions to ask at the office visit or later, if the physician recommends surgery.
