Annual Meeting to offer latest from treatments to research
Orthopaedic treatments, procedures and research will be in the spotlight at the 69th AAOS Annual Meeting Feb. 13-17, 2001 in Dallas, Texas. More than 1,000 papers, posters, instructional courses, symposia and scientific exhibits, plus 400 technical exhibitors are on the schedule for the worlds largest educational meeting for orthopaedic surgeons. Here are the guest speakers.
Additional highlights include a free practice management symposium for orthopaedic residents, scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12, just prior to the start of the meeting. The session will cover the business and practical aspects of entering orthopaedic practice.
For the first time, the morning of Thursday, Feb. 14 has been designated solely for the presentation of 140 scientific papers..
All fellows are urged to attend the Annual Business Meeting the morning of Friday, Feb. 15.
Special events include construction of a safe, accessible playground on Tuesday, Feb. 12, in Reverchon Park, which is located less than 15 minutes from the convention center. The park is adjacent to an orthopaedic childrens hospitalthe Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas. The hospital is the Academys community partner in this project, along with the Dallas City Parks Department. Volunteers may sign up online through the AAOS web site or by using a form that can be found in the preliminary program book.
