AAOS looking for the best Patient Safety Tip

Academy members, residents, orthopaedic administrators, orthopaedic nurses, allied health care workers and others associated with the orthopaedic industry are invited to submit their original patient safety tips to the AAOS. Tips may be for doctors, nurses, health care staff and/or patients and their families. They may relate to the hospital, physician’s office or home health care setting.

The Academy will recognize the Best Tip of 2003, as well as 10 other outstanding tips, during the Opening Ceremonies of the 2004 Annual Meeting. Entries will be evaluated by the Patient Safety Committee. Tips can be submitted online, or the entry form can be downloaded and faxed to the AAOS at 847-823-7286. Tips must be received by Feb. 13, 2004 to be eligible.
