AAOS to convene fall meeting on hip fracture care reform
The AAOS Board of Directors has approved a plan to convene a meeting of the leaders of national organizations involved with hip fracture care to examine delivery system problems facing hip fracture patients. The goal is to improve care pathway for hip fracture patients, find the best management model with the best outcome and to implement the model throughout the nation. The meeting, to be held this fall, will be developed as part of the Bone and Joint Decade initiative, an international effort to raise awareness of the magnitude of musculoskeletal conditions and to increase research on such disorders.
