April 2001 AAOS Report
Orthopaedic Overseas-OREF Traveling Fellowship available
OREF recently awarded Orthopaedics Overseas a grant
to fund senior resident rotations to active Orthopaedics
Overseas sites. For the resident, this provides exposure
to a wide range of pathologies not commonly seen in
the United States. It also introduces the resident
to issues in effective cross cultural communication.
Senior residents interested in applying for the traveling
fellowship should send a curriculum vitae with a cover
letter, outlining the reasons for their interest along
with a letter of recommendation from the director of
their residency program. Application materials should
be sent to Nancy Kelly, MHS, executive director, Orthopaedics
Overseas, P.O. Box 65157, Washington, D.C. 20035.
