Wounded in Action comes to PBS

The Legacy of Heroes program commemorates the sacrifices of the 600,000 military medical men and women who served in WWII, and the advancements orthopaedic surgeons have made in caring for trauma-related injuries. Over the next several months, PBS will air the AAOS documentary film, Wounded in Action, a moving testimonial to WWII veterans. The film features several WWII veteran Academy members who return to Normandy and Pearl Harbor where they served. A tentative schedule for public television stations across the country is available at http://legacyofheroes.aaos.org Confirm with your local PBS station. Wounded in Action on PBS has been made possible through educational grants provided by Pfizer, Inc., and the George M. Boswell Jr., MD, Fund for Orthopaedic Surgery of the Wichita Falls Area Community Foundation.
