JRGOS holds inaugural meeting

The J. Robert Gladden Society (JRGOS) announces its inaugural meeting, July 6-10, 2006, in Lausanne, Switzerland. “Perspectives on Orthopaedic Professionalism:

Diversity and Health Disparities” will offer Continuing Medical Education (CME)-accredited symposia designed to address the need for culturally competent care and strategies to eliminate health disparities in orthopaedics.

Among the experts who will address the meeting are Louis W. Sullivan, MD, former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services; John Ruffin, PhD, director of the National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities at the National Institutes of Health, and Ronald W. Lindsey, MD, chair of orthopaedics and rehabilitation at University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas.
