The Academy's Committee on International Education and Relations will launch a new educational exchange program for international orthopaedic surgeons in 1997. The committee will invite nine orthopaedic surgeons attending the Academy's Annual Meeting in San Francisco to spend two to three days with fellows in private practice or on staff at local hospitals. The committee is seeking help in locating volunteers to host international orthopaedic surgeons immediately following the Annual Meeting. Volunteers should live within a 60-mile radius of the San Francisco area. For more information or to volunteer for other host opportunities, contact Stuart L. Weinstein, MD, University of Iowa Hospital, department of orthopaedic surgery, 200 Hawkins Dr., #1021-1 RCP, Iowa City, Iowa 52242, (319) 356-1872.
