The Musculoskeletal Tumor Society (MSTS) elected the following members to its executive committee: Mark C. Gebhardt, MD, president; Ross M. Wilkins, MD, past president; Steven Gitelis, MD, past president; Robert S. Bell, MD, president-elect; Herbert S. Schwartz, MD, secretary-treasurer; and William G. Ward, MD, secretary-treasurer-elect. Meehan, an orthopaedic clinical nurse specialist, assumed the presidency of the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses at the organization's 20th anniversary Congress in May . . . The Indiana Orthopaedic Society elected the following officers: Kent Moseman, MD, president; Joseph Randolph, MD, president-elect; Gary Moore, MD, member-at-large; Rick Sassim, MD, treasurer; Mike Roper, MD, secretary; and Rob Forste, MD, Board of Councilors elect . . . C. Bruce Malone, MD, in May, 2000 was elected to a three-year term on the board of trustees of the Texas Medical Association . . . Newly elected officers of the Hawaii Orthopaedic Association are Linda J. Rasmussen, MD, president; Jay Marumoto, MD, vice president; and Stuart Wakatsuki, MD, secretary/treasurer . . . Donald Schroeder, MD, was elected president of the Organization of State Medical Association Presidents at the June meeting in Chicago . . . Michelle Andrews, MD, of Cincinnati Sportsmedicine and Orthopaedic Center attended a special White House celebration with President Clinton and the Houston Comets on May 15. The Comets were celebrating their third straight WNBA championship. Dr. Andrews is a trustee of the Women's Sports Foundation and an advisory member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
