ABJS calls for applicants to two annual awards
The Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons (ABJS), in conjunction with Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, is calling for applications to two major awards for clinically relevant laboratory or clinical research. The Annual Marshall R. Urist Young Investigator Award of $5,000 will go to an orthopaedic surgeon investigator under 40 years of age, or with less than seven years post-training (including fellowships) at the time of appointment. The Nicolas Andry Award of $15,000 is annually given to an experienced orthopaedic investigator. Winning papers for both awards will be presented at the ABJS annual meeting, May 15-19, 2002 in Vancouver, BC, Canada and will be submitted as manuscripts for publication in Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research.
