AOA seeks applicants for fellowship opportunities
The American Orthopaedic Association is seeking applications from orthopaedists for several fellowship opportunities. The C. Howard Hatcher Pathology Fellowship, chaired by Douglas J. McDonald, MD, seeks an individual who has completed an orthopaedic surgery residency program. It supports fellowships that do not have existing funds available. The deadline for applications is Jan. 17, 2003. The John J. Fahey, MD, Memorial North American Traveling Fellowship, chaired by Guy D. Paiement, MD, is open to North American orthopaedists who have completed an orthopaedic residency on or after June 30, 1999 or who entered directly into military service after completing an orthopaedic residence on or after June 30, 1998. The application deadline is Jan. 17, 2003. The Japanese-American Traveling Fellowship (JOA), chaired by Robert M. Szabo, MD, MPH, is seeking applications from orthopaedists interested in this traveling fellowship in 2004. American applicants must be less than 40 years old as of Dec. 31, 2003, must be certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and must be U.S. citizens.
