The AAOS Washington Health Policy Fellowship Program is designed to encourage orthopaedic residents and Fellows (those who have completed their residency training and are undertaking an additional year of study in a fellowship) to participate in the federal health policy arena in Washington, D.C. Up to two Fellows per year can gain the opportunity to learn more about the health policy process and to contribute to the development of new policies and programs.
Motivated residents and fellows with a demonstrated interest in health policy and advocacy are encouraged to apply. Preference is given to candidates with excellent written and oral communication skills who have clearly demonstrated leadership skills. The program will be individualized to accommodate the needs and interests of the participants. All housing and transportation expenses will be covered; applications must be received by Dec. 15, 2003.
