Plan ahead to attend these special courses

Mark your calendars for April 2006. The AAOS and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES) will sponsor their “5th Biennial AAOS/ASES Shoulder and Elbow Meeting: Current Techniques and Controversies,” focusing on the latest technology, the most current treatments, plus new and innovative concepts on shoulder and elbow conditions and management. Course directors include Gerald R. Williams Jr., MD; Frances Cuomo, MD; Gary M. Gartsman, MD; and Joseph D. Zuckerman, MD. The course will be held April 6-9, 2006, in Orlando, Fla. and fills up quickly, so register early!

The AAOS and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) are jointly sponsoring the “4th Annual AAOS/AAHKS Impact of Evolving Technology on Hip and Knee Arthritis and Reconstruction,” April 20-23, 2006, in Ponte Vedra Beach (Jacksonville), Fla. Course directors are William P. Barrett, MD, and William J. Hozack, MD.

Finally, the AAOS and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) will sponsor their “6th Annual AAOS/OTA Trauma Course: Current Management Concepts, Surgical Techniques and Practical Solutions for Orthopaedic Trauma Problems,” with a focus on decision-making and new treatments. Course directors are Christopher T. Born, MD, and Michael R. Baumgaertner, MD. Registration is limited, so enroll early! The course will take place in St. Augustine, Fla. from April 27-30, 2006.
