Symposium centers on women's health
A Women's Health and Wellness Symposium will be held for the first time through the Extended Program at the Academy's 2000 Annual Meeting. Scheduled from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. March 17 in the Meet and Greet Center, Room 110A, Orlando Convention Center, the program will focus on osteoporosis, breast cancer, healthy skin, stress management and hormone replacement therapy. Judy Lutter, president and founder of the Melpomene Institute for Women's Health Research, will speak about health concerns for active women, and physicians will participate in a question and answer period about wellness. Hospitals and other associations will have exhibits and osteoporosis screenings. This program is free, but registration is necessary.
