Aging patient focus of breakfast meeting
The Academy's Committee on Aging has invited those with an interest in the musculoskeletal care of the aging patient to a breakfast meeting on Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, 6:30-8 a.m. at the Morial Convention Center, Room 340. If you receive this message before the meeting, you are encouraged to bring your own case presentations on CD-ROM or disk for review and discussion. The meeting format will be a "Meet the Experts" Interdisciplinary Panel discussion of selected case presentations. The panel will consist of representatives from a number of different musculoskeletal healthcare provider groups including geriatricians, orthopaedic surgeons and orthopaedic nurses. Some topics will include difficult trauma cases, vertebroplasty and arthroscopy in elderly patients. If you cannot attend, you can obtain a summary of all the items that were discussed at the meeting. There is no cost for the breakfast.
