February 2004 AAOS Report

Help the Academy reach 100 percent participation in orthopaedic census

Please complete the 2004 Orthopaedic Census, which reached all AAOS members in January 2004. The Academy is striving to achieve a 100 percent response rate to this survey. In order to represent the orthopaedic community fully and fairly to the government, the public and third-party payers, the AAOS needs to collect accurate and current information regarding the practice of orthopaedics.

The questions this year are new and different from last year's questions, and your data from previous census forms have not been retained. The form was sent by fax and the U.S. Postal Service and is accessible on the Academy Web site, www.aaos.org.

The information gathered is used only for internal purposes and will be used only in the aggregate to plan AAOS educational activities and reach lawmakers in individual states and Washington, D.C. Orthopaedists can complete the form at the 71st Annual Meeting by going to the Internet Communication Booth, across from the Resource Center in the south lobby of the Moscone Center.
