February 2004 AAOS Report

PEMR looking for volunteers to build playground in San Francisco

As part of orthopaedic surgeons' commitment to injury prevention and safety, the Academy each year builds a playground in the host city of the Annual Meeting. The playgrounds adhere to the highest safety and accessibility standards. Volunteer orthopaedic surgeons and their families, orthopaedic partners and organizations, media and community representatives will transform a barren site into a colorful, safe playground, this year in San Francisco. The Alvarado Elementary School, serving public school children in grades K-5 and located a few miles from the Moscone Convention Center, will serve as the 2004 site. The event depends on your hard work and as many hours as you are able to give. Please join your colleagues for a fun day of food, music and playground building.

Transportation to and from the site is provided every hour. Visit the AAOS Web site to register online.
