DMLR introduces mini-documentary

Doctors for Medical Liability Reform (DMLR) a nationwide coalition of more than 230,000 physicians working for meaningful federal medical liability reform—has produced new mini-documentary on the medical liability crisis. The video shows patients across the country who can’t get the care they need when they need it. It can be viewed online at www.ProtectPatientsNow.org, and makes a compelling case for the urgent need to fix our nation’s broken medical liability system.

In a letter to AAOS members, AAOS President Stuart L. Weinstein, MD, who currently serves as DMLR chairman, sought support for the DMLR’s petition on behalf of medical liability reform. “We’re gathering the names of physicians, patients and concerned citizens from all across the country. Help us demonstrate to Congress the depth of America’s support for national legislation to repair our broken liability system,” wrote Dr. Weinstein.

The AAOS is a founding member of DMLR, whose goal is to keep liability reform at the forefront of the national debate and to build a grassroots network in key target states.
