FDA seeks advisory panel members

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Advisory Panel on Orthopaedic and Rehabilitative Devices is soliciting names of orthopaedic surgeons interested in serving as a consultant or future member of the panel. The FDA is seeking orthopaedic surgeons specializing in upper extremity, hip, knee, spine, trauma and oncology and who have knowledge and expertise in the biological arena. The FDA wants to expand the geographic representation of its advisory panel members, and is interested in increasing the participation of orthopaedic surgeons from the midwest, southwest and western regions of the U.S. Interested fellows should send a copy of their curriculum vitae and a letter of intent to Department of Research and Scientific Affairs, AAOS, 6300 N. River Rd., Rosemont, Ill. 60018. The deadline for submissions is March 3.
