Gelberman, MD, will give his first vice presidential address as part of the ceremonial meeting. At 9 a.m., the presidential guest speaker, Mitch Albom, author of the best-selling book, "Tuesdays with Morrie," will offer his perspective on life, illness and friendship. The business meetings follow immediately. Podium and instructional courses resume at 10:30 a.m.
Just for residents: A symposium on practice management for orthopaedic residents is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 27 at the Moscone Center. Exhibits will be open Wednesday, Feb. 28 through Friday, March 2 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Technical Exhibits will be held in Halls A, B, C and D of the Moscone Convention Center. The business meeting of the AAOS will take place from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2001 in the Gateway Ballroom of the Moscone Convention Center, followed by the business meeting of the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons, from 10 to 10:30 a.m. The Resolutions Committee will conduct an Open Hearing on the proposed resolutions on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001 in the Franciscan Ballroom, Sections 1-2, of the Argent Hotel. The Bylaws Committee will conduct an Open Hearing on Thursday, March 1, 2001, from 8 to 10 a.m. in the same location.
