January 2002 AAOS Report
OKO wins high praise, off to a great start
On Oct. 15, 2001 AAOS launched Orthopaedic Knowledge Online (OKO), the AAOS web site that gives members instant access to video demonstrations and text-based information regarding diagnosis, treatment and management of musculoskeletal disorders. It holds a reservoir of information as text and video on a full range of orthopaedic subjects. A benefit of AAOS membership, OKO is available for members' use 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The site provides color video of multiple surgical techniques broken down into steps, or users can view the entire procedure at one time. OKO Video is best viewed on a 56K or broadband connection. OKO can be accessed through the AAOS web site at www.aaos.org/oko. For more information on OKO, members can e-mail Jane Baque, AAOS managing editor of online publications, at email@example.com. OKO will be demonstrated during the Annual Meeting in Dallas. Look for the OKO/Campus exhibit booth adjacent to the Resource Center.
