January 2003 AAOS Report
Sign up right now to help build safe, accessible playground
Volunteer now and join your colleagues to help build a safe, accessible playground in New Orleans' beautiful City Park. Sign up right now to experience the fun and enjoy the rewards that come with joining this group effort and exerting some physical labor - all in support of a good cause. When it's completed, the park will be the fourth playground built by AAOS, which attempts to give something back to the Annual Meeting host cities and offers a safe ground where all children, with or without disabilities, can play together. Past participants-including orthopaedic surgeons and their families, industry partners, orthopaedic specialty and related organizations and even a few celebrities-have spoken of the fulfillment they gained by doing something positive for the community. The playground build will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Buses will run between the Morial Convention Center and the playground site every hour beginning at 7:30 a.m. Continental breakfast and lunch with a local flavor will be provided. Your help is needed for however many hours you can give. Don't miss out on this fun, meaningful activity.
