AAOS, OREF offers research fellowship
The Academy and Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation are jointly sponsoring a two-year health services research fellowship beginning in July 1997. The fellowship is open to all physicians who have completed an accredited North American orthopaedic residency. As part of the fellowship, applicants will be encouraged to earn a public health degree. They will participate in courses on the methodologies of outcomes and health services research and statistics and will be responsible for an orthopaedic project involving these research skills. The candidate also will receive a clinical appointment in a department of orthopaedics from a participating institution in the fellowship. The deadline for submitting applications is May 31.
