ORS awards will honor scientific investigators
The Marshall Urist Award for Excellence in Tissue Regeneration Research will be given to an established investigator in the area of tissue regeneration. A selection committee, established from members of the Orthopaedic Research Society (ORS), will receive information and select the awardee, based on a letter of recommendation and the nominee's curriculum vitae. The award carries a prize of $10,000. The William Harris Award will be given to an individual based on the quality and scientific merit of a paper submitted to a review committee of ORS members. The topic of the paper must relate to basic or clinical research involving the hip. The awardee must be under 45 years of age and an ORS member in good standing. The award carries a $5,000 prize. Deadline for submission of nominees for the two awards is Oct. 1, 2000.
