POSNA elects officers, distributes awards
The Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) met from May 1 to 4 in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. James H. Beaty, MD, was elected president; James R. Kasser, MD, vice-president; George H. Thompson, MD, 2nd vice president; Laura Lowe Tosi, MD, secretary elect; M. Anthony Ashworth, MD, treasurer elect; James Wright, MD, and Howard Epps, MD, members at large. Mercer Rang, MD, received the Distinguished Achievement Award. Michael D. Sussman, MD, was the recipient of the Arthur H. Huene Memorial Award for excellence and promise in pediatric orthopaedics. David L. Skaggs, MD, accepted the inaugural St. Giles Young Investigator Award.
