AAOS Report - July, 2005

OSAE scoring for 2005

AAOS is now fulfilling orders for the 2005 Orthopaedic Self-Assessment Examination (OSAE). To participate in the initial examination scoring, participants must submit their answer sheet or online answer files no later than Nov. 1, 2005. Participants receive a score report and answer book with discussion and recommended readings for each examination question. The OSAE score report compares an exam taker’s performance against a peer group of orthopaedic surgeons. Individuals participating in the OKU8/OSAE Home Study Program must score better than chance in order to claim up to 50 CME Category 1 credits in the American Medical Association’s Physician Recognition Award program. Participation in only the OSAE qualifies for up to 20 Category 1 CME credits. The AAOS automatically documents each member participant’s CME transcript file.
