On-site registration costs will increase for some attendees to the 1998 Annual Meeting, March 19-23, in New Orleans. All Academy fellows, resident, candidate, associate and emeritus members can continue to register for the Annual Meeting, at no charge, as part of their membership dues benefit. Orthopaedic surgeons who have been accepted for the recently-approved International Affiliate membership also can register at no charge as a membership benefit. International attendees including Canada, and U.S. nonmember residents and postgraduate fellows will pay increased fees when registering on-site. International attendees' fees will increase by $150; U.S. residents and and postgraduate applicants' fees will increase by $50 if they register at the meeting. On-site registration costs for instructional course lectures also will increase. This year's advance registration deadline is Feb. 4, 1998. Registration packets will be mailed in October.
