July 1999 AAOS Report
Orthopaedic cases on AAOS web site
New to the AAOS web site are "Orthopaedic Cases"-clinical case presentations prepared by members of AAOS clinical committees. The first case, "Rotator Cuff Injury Associated with Work Activities," was prepared by Occupational Health Committee member J. Mark Melhorn, MD. Each "Orthopaedic Case" presentation includes a narrative that describes a typical patient case seen in an orthopaedic practice. At the conclusion of each case, a link to a discussion group about the topic of the case is provided for further interaction among participants. Each case study includes information on case history, treatment options, postoperative care suggestions and possible complications. "Orthopaedic Cases" is located in the "Medical Education" section of the web site at www.aaos.org.
