JBJS unveils new features on web site
The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (JBJS) has expanded its web site www.ejbjs.org with new features and capabilities that are available to viewers free of charge until Oct. 1, 2001. Later, the Journal will limit access to subscribers of JBJS and implement pay-per-view charges for non-subscribers. The web site offers state-of-the art search and retrieval tools. As a result of collaboration with HighWire Press, Stanford University, a single query can be searched across more than 220 journals that use HighWire's services. The articles can be retrieved in text or PDF format. A customized search capability allows the user to search JBJS by categories such as practice specialty, anatomical site, clinical problem, etc. A new feature "Reader Roundtable," allows readers of JBJS to respond by e-mail to printed articles.
