The Academy will send the 1996 Orthopaedic Physician Census to all practicing orthopaedic surgeons in June. The biennial survey is used to collect basic demographic and practice information from orthopaedic surgeons. It also is used to collect individual information to keep the Academy's database up-to-date and to effectively represent the specialty and orthopaedic patients. Each census will be accompanied by one of several supplemental forms that will solicit more specific information on an important topic. This information has been requested by Academy committees to assist in operations and help address current practice environment issues. All information will be confidential.
