Michael Ehrlich, MD, the Vincent Zecchino professor and chairman of
Orthopaedics at Brown University Medical School, has announced that Vincent Zecchino, MD, 91, and an orthopaedist alumnus of the program, has donated $10 million for the creation of a musculoskeletal institute to be named in his honor . . . Thomas E. Price, MD, Resurgens Orthopaedics, Atlanta, has been re-elected to serve in the Georgia State Senate, representing District 56 . . . Richard Haynes, MD, the chief of staff of the Houston Shriners Hospital, received the Award of Merit from the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA) at POSNA's annual meeting held recently in Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Haynes was also recently elected to serve on the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
