March 2004 AAOS Report

Log in, get involved at new, state-focused, medical liability Web site

AAOS has made a commitment to help drive the debate and support federal reform efforts. But it has also launched a similar push at the state level, especially in those states deemed "crisis" states. To learn about state-level efforts, visit the "Protect Access to Care and Treatment" medical liability reform campaign Web site at Download a free "toolkit" containing a variety of template materials that will help you communicate with your community, local media and patients just how serious the issue is in your state-and encourage them to act. Gain access to these materials by going to the following link and entering in your last name and eight-digit AAOS identification number:

The site, which should help energize and unite our forces, also informs patients of how they can protect their access to care.

Please help support the AAOS Medical Liability Campaign. Make your personal or corporate check payable to the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and send it to AAOS, 6300 N. River Road, Rosemont, Ill. 60018, Attn: Medical Liability; credit card contributions are also welcome. All contributions are needed and appreciated.
