Flyer tells children and families how to build strong bones

AAOS and the National Institute of Child Health and Development have produced a four-color, easy-to-read flyer that provides information to families and children on how to build strong bones. Exercises that reduce the risk of osteoporosis later in life are noted. Readers are told to "exercise to build healthy bones." Handouts are available in limited quantities. To learn more or to obtain a sample, call Pat Julitz, AAOS Public and Media Relations, (800) 346-2267, ext 4036, or julitz@aaos.org. Laura Tosi, MD; Sally Rudicel, MD; and Joseph Lane, MD, were advisors to the project.
