The AAOS Board of Directors has been involved in a search process over the past six months to select a new executive vice president/chief executive officer for the AAOS. Ms. Hackett brings to this position close to 15 years of senior level, association management experience, coupled with superb financial and administrative skills. The need for someone of Ms. Hackett's experience and capabilities emerged from the Board's strategic planning initiative conducted in 2001 and the organizational assessment completed last fall.

"I look forward to working with the volunteer leaders, members and staff to advance the mission of the Academy and face the challenges of the future," said Ms. Hackett.
