ABJS issues call for manuscripts
The Association of Bone and Joint Surgeons (ABJS), in conjunction with Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research (CORR), is seeking manuscripts for two awards. Applicants for the Marshall R. Urist Young Investigator Award of $5,000 must be less than 40 years old at the time of submission; the manuscript must deal with clinical research or clinically relevant laboratory research not previously published. The Nicolas Andry Award of $15,000 will be given to an orthopaedic investigator for musculoskeletal system work done over an extended period. The work should be ongoing and have significantly contributed to orthopaedic knowledge and practice.
Winning papers will be presented at the ABJS annual meeting, April 11-15, 2007, in Lexington, Ky., and submitted to CORR. For the full announcement visit the CORRONLINE Web site. The application deadline for both awards is Nov. 1, 2006. Call Colette Hohimer or Bonnie Jones at (847) 698-1636 with questions.
