Register now for Summer Institute

Early registration is encouraged for the Academy's Summer Institute, Sept 8-12, in San Diego, Calif. New to the surgical skills and clinical course schedule this year is the two-day "Practical Techniques for Treatment of Athletic Injuries," and half-day mini-courses on "Management of Lumbar Spine Degenerative Conditions" and "Non-Arthroplasty Alternatives to Hip and Knee Reconstruction." Additional courses to be offered include "Management of Complex Fractures," "Complex Primary and Revision Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty," "Management of Elbow, Forearm, and Wrist Injuries," "The Top Ten Orthopaedic Procedures," "Treatment of Common Surgical Problems of the Foot and Ankle" and "Techniques in Shoulder Surgery: The Old vs. The New." This year, the Summer Institute expanded its schedule and is offering special courses such as "Managed Care: Meeting the Challenge and Taking Charge," "Computer Skills for Orthopaedic Surgeons," "The Six Habits of Healthy Successful Physicians: Personal Practice Productivity," and "A Start to a Healthier You." A brochure detailing the course schedule, times, and dates was recently mailed to Academy members.
