November 2001 AAOS Report

Sign up to build playground, take part in Hometown Radio

Join your colleagues during the 69th Annual Meeting to build a safe, accessible playground at Reverchon Park in Dallas on Tuesday, Feb. 12. This continues the tradition of building a playground in the Annual Meeting's host city. Many volunteers are needed to make this a success. To sign up, visit the Special Events section of the AAOS Annual Meeting registration area on the web site, www.aaos.org to volunteer. Another project, Hometown Radio, allows AAOS members to voice their opinions to their communities about orthopaedic matters and increase public awareness of the specialty at the same time. Visit the Hometown Radio booth in the Dallas Convention Center to do an interview with an experienced correspondent. The recorded segments are edited and transmitted by digital phone feed to local stations. Appointments are available on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (Feb. 13, 14 and 15) from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. To schedule your 15-minute time slot, call Addy Kujawa, (800) 346-2267, ext. 4033. Call early for best time selection.
