Orthopaedic Research Society celebrates 50th annual meeting
The 50th Annual Meeting of the Orthopaedic Research Society will be held March 7-10, 2004 in San Francisco. A total of 318 scientific papers will be presented during the meeting, along with 1,222 scientific posters. Nine workshops will be held on a variety of topics, including "Use of Molecular Techniques to Answer Questions in Musculoskeletal Biology," "Meniscus and Fibrocartilages of the Musculoskeletal System," "Genetics and Mechanical Loading Sensitivity," and "The Role of Integrin Signaling in the Initiation and Progression of OA." The AAOS/ORS Combined Symposia will be held on Wednesday, March 10, under the heading, "Clinical Perspectives on Tendon Injury, Repair and Healing: Opportunities for Tissue Engineering and the Role of Pharmacological Agents in Fracture Healing and Implant Fixation." AAOS Annual Meeting registrants wearing their AAOS meeting badges can attend the ORS paper presentations on March 10.
