American Geriatric Society seeks grant submissions
The Jahnigen Career Development Scholars (JCDS) program provides two-year support for junior faculty (within 10 years of completing training) in several specialties including orthopaedic surgery.
Each grant provides $75,000 per year for salary and fringe benefits and/or the costs of doing research. Under funding guidelines established in 2005, each scholar’s institution must provide a minimum match of $25,000 per year.
The request for proposals for the 2007 JCDS program, administered by the American Geriatrics Society and funded by The Atlantic Philanthropies and The John A. Hartford Foundation, is posted online. The deadline for filing applications is Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2006. For more information, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call (212) 308-1414.
