Academy offers nursing and allied health courses
The Academy and the National Association of Orthopaedic Nurses have collaborated in the development of three nursing courses to be offered during the Annual Meeting in San Francisco. The Academy also will be offering a course for allied health professionals. All courses will be held at the San Francisco Hilton and Towers. The courses are:
- "Pain Management," Feb. 13, H. Ulrich Bueff, MD and Pamela Jane Nye, MS, RN, ONC, course coordinators.
- "Lower Extremity Trauma," Feb. 14, David W. Lowenberg, MD and Cathy Warner, RN, course coordinators.
- "New Procedures and Comprehensive Orthopaedic Care Centers," Feb. 15, H.M. Reynolds, MD and Kathleen Geier, MS, RN, course coordinators.
- "Orthopaedic Trauma Update for Orthopaedic Physician Assistants and Orthopaedic Technologists," Feb. 15, Daniel M. Zinar, MD and Stuart M. Gold, MD, course coordinators.
