The Community Orthopaedic Awareness Program will offer five public education presentations for orthopaedic surgeons to use in their communities. Orthopaedic surgeons will receive "how to" guides, including public information techniques and sample Letters to the Editor. The Hometown Radio project will give orthopaedic surgeons the chance to do an interview with a correspondent. The interviews are edited and transmitted by digital phone feed to stations in the physicians' hometown or state. Call Addy Kujawa in the Public and Media Relations department at (847) 384-4032 to schedule a 15-minute slot. Limited time slots are available during the meeting on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
