AANA seeks research grant applicants
The Research Committee of the Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) is accepting applications for research grants and awards, which will be given for clinical or basic science research in the field of arthroscopic surgery or disorders amenable to arthroscopic treatment. The Resident/Fellow Essay Award will be given to two individuals, carrying with it a $1,000 to $2,000 honorarium, and will be presented at AANA's annual meeting. The research also will be submitted for publishing consideration to Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery. The Richard O'Connor Award also will carry a $1,000-$2,000 honorarium, will be presented at AANA's annual meeting and will be submitted to the AANA's journal for consideration. General research grants of varying amounts will be awarded, based on need and quality of work submitted. The deadline for submission for all awards is Dec. 1, 2001.
