2002 Annual Meeting in Dallas promises to educate and inspire
The 69th Annual Meeting of the AAOS will be held from Wednesday, Feb. 13 to Sunday, Feb. 17, 2002. More than 175 Instructional Courses, 31 symposia, 310 paper presentations, 500 poster exhibits, scientific exhibits as well as the Multimedia Education Center, the Resource Center and Placement Services will ensure a lively, enriching educational event. Guest speakers include former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and historian and biographer, Doris Kearns Goodwin. At the AAOS President's Benefit for OREF, five-time Grammy Award-winning country singer and composer Mary Chapin Carpenter and her all-star band will perform for AAOS convention attendees only. Preliminary programs are being mailed in mid-October, or visit the AAOS web site at www.aaos.org, under Annual Meeting, for continual updates. Online registration for the meeting and for housing begins Oct. 17. To register online, you must have an ID number, which is found in the payment summary section of your registration form. The deadline for registration is Jan. 2, 2002. All those who register by Dec. 14 are eligible to win one of two grand prizes. Each prize includes one first class, round-trip ticket to Dallas and accommodations during the meeting at a four-star hotel in Dallas.
